This unit is a good outline of what to consider when planning lessons, and it shows that this process is not fixed. Lessons plans can vary between teachers and/or classes, as well as change depending on the level of experience you have with certain topics, and certain groups of students. It is very important to note that a more structured lesson plan can relieve the stress of the unknown for a new teacher, but must still be planned in a way which always enables the lesson to have an element of flexibility. Monitoring your progress, as well as that of the students', is an integral part of becoming a better teacher, and keeping on track with the desired outcomes of your lessons and inevitably, your course.
