This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Grammar breaks down parts of speech such as nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, conjunctions, articles, and prepositions. Nouns come in different forms - plural, singular, proper, common, abstract, and compound - and function as subjects of sentences. Adjectives are used for comparison and for descriptions of nouns. Verbs have many forms depending on the tense in the context of the sentence, and are categorized by transitive (can be followed by the sentence's subject) or intransitive (cannot be directly followed by subject). Adverbs are used for descriptions of verbs. Articles are used to specify the number of nouns in question, or their position or membership in a group (for example, \"these\" as opposed to \"those\" indicate the closeness of the subject relative to the speaker). Pronouns can be used to replace nouns, proper or common, while conjunctions are a way of smoothly joining together words or clauses within a sentence, and prepositions indicate the relationship of a noun or pronoun to another part of speech within a sentence.
