It was an accurate introduction of the course presenting its content, objectives and expectations. As teaching English to young learners requires a specific approach the course is divided into six units such as Course development, Materials and management, etc.
In this unit, I could learn the definition of \"young learners\" and I was surprised that the age range is from five to thirteen years old. Indeed, the demand concerning children in kindergartens (from two to five years old) is dramatically increasing and as a result they should have been included in the course. However, I think some skills can be transferable.
Another important point is that I am looking forward the unit 4 \"Materials and management\" because I think the classroom management in these types of class would be quite challenging. Also, in order to keep the children's attention, the lesson must be engaging and interactive by using appropriate activities and materials.
