This section of the unit focused on basic roles within the classroom and how they interact, with a focus on how a teacher can foster and promote good, motivated students for a variety of age and skill levels.
This section has taught me the value of confidence in older learners and in maintaining focus and motivation for younger learners. It also gave me an insight into the variety of roles a teacher can adopt within a classroom, and the importance of diversifying the teaching experience by using each of these roles in the most appropriate situation.
I feel that for the most part teacher/student roles, reasons for motivation and skill levels were quite intuitive and therefore easy to remember without needing an extensive description. However, it is important for teachers to recognize these more natural elements within the classroom to understand student interests and motivations and create the best lesson for all different situations.
