This Unit provided a basis for different methodology in teaching. It taught the best method for teaching which is the Engage, Study and Activate model. The theory behind is that you Engage the student so they can start thinking about English. You than have them study the lesson for the day and then activate which is to use the language. You can mix and match this method as long as it starts with an Engage and end with an Activate. It also gave a full list of activities that we can use for the classroom.
This is a good unit as it helped me understand how the actually class should look like. I learn about different methods of teaching and was used to the grammar-translation method which I did not find very effective. Overviewing each method and then giving one where we can mix and match was very helpful. The list of activities also has me excited as they are engaging and can help motivate my students.
