Unit 14 focused on coursebooks and lesson materials which covered authentic and created materials, advantages and disadvantages of a coursework book, the uses of a course workbook, and how to analyse a coursework book. Coursework books are a great aid for a teacher in any class but it's important to adapt them to students needs, expand on certain areas and mix it up with new ideas and activities. This will change from class to class as each person learns and teaches differently.I really enjoyed unit ten. This unit was helpful because I was able to see first hand how teaching to foreign students may be like. Not only that, but also I was able to see how the lesson was structured. Lastly, I was able to see different teaching styles. Some were not effective at all, and some worked very well. One thing I noticed was how the teachers hand gestures and smile in the second video were very effective. This also gave a sense of comfortability among the students.
