In this unit the purpose of the course books was examined. There are many different sources of information that can help a teacher during the preparation of the lesson. Mostly we use course books that were specially designed for teaching different levels. Using course books has its advantages and disadvantages, that is why while choosing the book a teacher has to take into consideration different aspects such as price, design, methodology and if the balance and the mix of skills is appropriate. And also it is important to use created materials.This unit we go over receptive skills which are reading and listening as well as finding a topic in which the students are interested in, in order to practice their skills. By choosing an interesting topic, this can help with their enthusiasm of the it as well as their willingness to participate in the lesson. Understanding that the students may have a difficult time with some of the vocabulary I would hope to choose a receptive skill based lesson with a topic that would have been discussed in the previous lesson and introduce the new language.
