After watching the two videos it was easy to see what makes a good English class. One of the most important parts of the second video was when the teacher started the class with a smile and worked on having a good atmosphere. The first video's classroom atmosphere was not very good, and therefore the students did not participate very much, because they were confused and did not want to make mistakes when the teacher kept insisting that the grammar was very easy. In the second video the teacher mimed out words, drew pictures, wrote corresponding sentences on the board, had the students repeat after him, answered questions effectively, gave encouragement, let the students work in pairs, and generally seemed to want to be in the classroom. There are many parts that come into play when conducting a good class, but the first thing to work on is creating a good atmosphere.
