This unit gives a better understanding of the ways in which to teach new vocabulary words and grammatical structures to students. It gives examples of techniques to use when introducing new vocabulary words and grammatical structures to students. I also learned what the student needs to know about a new vocabulary term when it is introduced in the classroom. This includes meaning, use, word grammar, interaction, spelling and pronunciation. For new grammatical structures that are introduced, this would include meaning, use, forms and patterns, spoken and written forms and any differences in forms. This unit also introduced different methods to use in order to help engage the students in learning new vocabulary terms and grammatical structures as well as activities in order to assist them in studying new vocabulary terms and grammatical structures.
