I learned that conditionals and reported tenses are very confusing. I learned that there are 5 main conditionals (zero, first, second, third, and mixed). The difference between these conditionals is quite minor and therefore it is easy to mix them up. Reported speech and direct speech are also challenging, but very important because students need to understand how to report conversations they have had. I also learned some strategies for teaching reported speech (e.g. intermediates).This unit gave us a short introduction to the topic of Future tense. We studied different aspects of Future Tense including Future Simple, Future Continuous, Future Perfect, Future Perfect Continuous, Be going to+infinitive, Present Simple and Present Continuous. The last two aspects are Present Forms, however in specific situations they can be used as Future Aspect of Future Tense. Besides, the chapter introduced teaching ideas and common mistakes associated with the grammar topic.
