In this unit, model auxiliary verbs and the passive voice were examined, as well as a brief overview of phrasal verbs and relative clauses. Furthermore, models are used before other verbs to add meaning to the main verb. Models such as: can, could, may, might, shall etc. Models can be used to express a number of different ideas such as: obligation, possibility/probability, permission/prohibition, ability and advice. The two voices used in English: the active and passive were discussed, also the form, usage and some typical errors/mistakes. Above all, I was notified that it's only the essential basic grammar that is commonly taught in EFL is covered in this course. To cover the whole grammatical system one will need at least four years of full time study, but what is covered in this course will enable the teacher of foreign student to deal with majority of grammatical issues that he or she is likely to face.
