In this unit I learned about teaching methodology. I learned about different ways of setting up the class. It was interesting reading about the ESA techniques such as the straight arrow, the boomerang and the patchwork methods since I recognized them from when I did evening dutch courses. It was also very helpful that this unit had many examples of activities to use during the lesson and I also read about how corrections should be handled and also here recognized the methods described from when I did my dutch language course. It was eye-opening to see these things from both sides. This unit is very similar to unit 4 ?Present tenses?. And again, I would probably not make a mistake as speaking naturally correctly but without knowledge of why or rules. So, a very interesting unit to go through as well. All the combinations present in unit 4 are also present against the 4 forms (Simple, Continuous, Perfect and Perfect Continuous). This is combined yet again with a presentation off Affirmative, Negative and Question forms. It never occurred to me before that ?To be? was the only verb with two past forms depending on the person (?was? and ?were?)!!
