This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit helps me notice the differences in group functions. A class with more children at a younger age works best in rows. I notice that the teacher would have material already prepared. The students are asked at random and I also noticed the teacher would give positive remarks once they've answered. In my son's classroom, I noticed that the teacher likes putting them in groups to work together. You can see there's more interaction amongst the group and less teacher talking time. The drawback as mentioned to this is: not being able to get everyones attention especially when the students know one another very well. This definitely helps to observe different methods in controlling a room both small and big.
