This unit covers the various types of tests a TEFL teacher is likely to administer to students throughout the school year. These tests start with placement/diagnostic to determine what the students already know and identify potential problem areas. The tests continue with periodic progress tests throughout the year to gauge what has been retained by the students and in some cases a practice test is given to prepare students for some common external exams. What I learned is the names of all the tests. I have taken all of the above tests at some point in my schooling. But what I found to be new was all the different external exams. I didn?t realize so many different tests exist for various purposes.
