Unit 16 describes the use of conditionals and reported speech. The are different types of conditionals and they are the Zero:Irrefutable facts, First: Possible real situations in the future, Second: Present or future unreal situations, Third: Unreal past actions and consequences and the Mixed: Unreal past actions and present consequences. It also defines reported speech as sentence stating what someone else has said either in a direct form or in the past form i.e after the action has been performed. The tense would change its form when reporting a speech. for example: the past simple becomes past perfect, present perfect becomes past perfect. It is however god to note that the past perfect maintains its form.
