TESOL Videos - Should I take a TEFL course online or in a classroom?
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
The topic of unit 9 was lesson planning. It examined the importance, structure, and method for creating lesson plans by teachers. This unit gave an overview as to what was important, and what should be included when making lesson plans. These included: learner objectives, personal aims for teachers, language points, teaching aids, anticipating problems, procedures, phases, interaction, timing, number of students, class level, the date/time, and teacher/observer information. This unit also emphasized how goals, variety and balance, and flexibility with revisions are important when planning a series of lessons during a course. I found the sample lesson plan, along with the task materials, very useful and informative for completing the task portion of the unit.
