TOEFL - ✔️ ✔️ ✔️ Test of English as a Foreign Language - TESOL Glossary
This test is used extensively by English speaking universities, colleges, private sector businesses and government agencies as a method of assessing proficiency in the English language. Traditionally the test has been available in both paper based and online based formats, however, the paper tests are gradually being phased out as availability of the internet increases around the world.
The test is divided into four separate sections, each covering one of the main language skills, i.e., speaking, writing, reading and listening. The student is then awarded an overall score ranging from 0 to 120, with a maximum of 30 points awarded for each language category in the online version of the test. This test does not set a specific pass mark so any organisation that uses it as an assessment of a... [Read more]

Your initial application should be completed on ITTT's own Internet application form.
As part of our pre-screening process, applicants are requested to submit an account of their personal history and background and of their motives for joining the course, as well as their future aspirations.
If for any reason you wish to subsequently cancel your place on the course after your deposit or full fees (i.e. deposit plus balance) have been paid, ITTT/TEFL International cannot provide any refund except for exceptional circumstances. The course organiser's decision is final. In any case, the deposit is non-refundable. Historic Vs Historical English Grammar Teaching Tips - ✔️ ✔️ ✔️ ITTT TEFL-TESOL Courses
This video covers the difference between 'historic' and 'historical'. These two words often cause confusion for English learners. The word ?historic? refers to something or someone famous and/or important in history, such as historic attractions, historic figures or historic events. The word 'historical', on the other hand, describes history itself, such as historical events or historical evidence. These are simply things that happened in the past and they weren?t necessarily important or famous.

Difficulties with Spoken English
Recently, I greeted a German intern working with our company in the lobby of our office building while walking into work. “Good morning,” I said, and he returned. I did not know much about him yet as he had just started. I knew he was from Germany as we had recently been introduced, but I decided to find out more about him. “Where are you coming from,” I asked. He was confused and embarrassed. This is a common question others in the office have often asked meaning Where do you live, or How do you get to work everyday etc. especially since the locale of the office is downtown DC, so not everyone comes from the same place. I realized, however, as soon as it came out of my mouth and by the strained look on his face, that I should have constructed the... [Read more]
Overview Of All English Tenses Present Tenses Present Continuous Usages - ✔️ ✔️ ✔️ ITTT TEFL-TESOL Courses
The two most common usages for the present continuous tense as it relates to speaking about things in the present. We have actions in progress at the time of speaking, specifically right when it's being said. So I can say ?I am teaching right now.? However, we also have actions in progress around the time of speaking. ?I'm reading a good book.? Now, of course I'm not reading a book just now but I started reading a book in the past I am reading it perhaps today sometime and I'll finish reading the book at some point in the future. Again, I'm not doing it just now but around the time of speaking.

The UG hypothesis suggests that all languages have some underlying similarities which are considered fundamental to language itself (see Chomsky).
